Honda Civic Tour was great because they play some deep-album cuts instead of overloading it with Living Things. Now they don't play many different sets and want as many singles as possible, which is why they started shortening songs. At the end of the MTM cycle and into the ATS cycle they started moving different singles to different setlists (LOATR, SOTD, etc).

This used to not be a problem for HT/Meteora/MTM because they didn't have so many songs. The WHOLE band seems uninterested in kicking singles to the curb (they now have more than ever) to play more deep-album cuts like Powerless, and even the rehearsed I'll Be Gone. I believe it was a band decision to not play more songs from LT and THP live. If 5/6 of LP wants to add I'll Be Gone and Powerless, then he'll learn the guitar parts and they'll play it. I won't say it's completely Brad's fault on Powerless.

They all play songs they don't WANT to play every night, Mike even said last year they feel obligated to play Burn It Down every single show even though they collectively don't want to. That solely can't be Brad's fault, even though we know Brad doesn't particularly like playing APFMH anymore. An example would be By Myself, Forgotten, Pushing, APFMH not making it to the Carnivores setlists. I'm not going to blame the entire band's setlist decisions on Brad.

In this clip (shot before the Berlin 2012 show), it's funny they deliberately only showed like 0.1 second clips of Brad, because he literally didn't know how to play the song. If you like the electronic side of LP like ATS and LT, then you'll love modern day Brad. Hmm, "holding LP back" in this case is a phrase that depends on the person.
